
MG and the top-flight English football club Liverpool FC has taken their partnership to a global level. This partnership is expected to deliver brand growth as well as awareness to both parties around the world.

Currently, MG branding is featured on the screens of Anfield Stadium, the home pitch of Liverpool FC. Other perks that MG receives from this partnership is first team player access, signed merchandise, and exposure on the football club’s digital platforms. MG has also created a limited-edition Liverpool-branded vehicles, similar to the limited edition ZS Champion Edition they have.
MG has also invited Liverpool FC legends to attend the Shanghai International Motor Show on behalf of the brand. In addition, the partnership looks to launch a fan-centric campaign in the future. Such promotions may include trips to the UK to watch a Liverpool FC match live at Anfield Stadium, and the chance to be part of exclusive player meet-and-greet/ autograph signing sessions.
Locally, MG Philippines also has sports partnerships. It has deals with popular college leagues such as the UAAP and NCAA for basketball and volleyball. MG recognizes sports as an effective means to strengthen its brand image. With these sports partnerships all across the world MG is primed to score big with the automotive market.
