Suzuki Philippines (SPH) has been showing off a consistent performance since the first two quarters of the year. Continuing its success, the Japanese carmaker ended up the third quarter with a blast as it achieved a 6% increase in sales for the first nine months compared to the same period last year.
The steady growth in sales is made possible by none other than Suzuki’s best-selling nameplates – Ertiga, Celerio, and Vitara. These three aces managed to reach a whopping 59% total sales from January to September this year.
Known for being an ideal family vehicle, the Ertiga led the Suzuki sales track with its 33% share in the overall sales chart. The seven-seater MPV is a perfect choice for those who are eyeing for a vehicle that comes with utility, power, cost-efficient, and spacious interior.
Driving behind the Ertiga is the subcompact car, Celerio. This small yet reliable hatchback proved its appeal to the Filipino car buyers with its 14% share registered in the company’s sales performance. With Celerio’s small frame yet fun-to-drive and versatile city drive character, it has become one of the well-loved small cars in the country.
Celebrating its first year in the Philippine market this month, the hip and fresh Vitara has already won the hearts of Filipinos and even bagged the 2017 CAGI Car of the Year in the subcompact crossover category. The Vitara peaked on the third spot with a 12% part in sales. This attractive crossover brags its stylish exterior, complemented with safety qualities and enhanced driving capabilities.
Despite the first-phase implementation of TRAIN Law and inflation surges in the country, SPH was able to positively pull off its sales this year with a total sales volume of 15,600 units as of September. With this improving sales record, SPH is looking forward to maximizing the momentum all throughout the remaining months of 2018.
What also increased SPH position in the local market is the Japanese brand’s active participation in major activities in the automotive industry. Recently, SPH exhibited a wide variety of innovative vehicles at the 7th Philippine International Motor Show. During this five-day event, the company displayed its latest models including the all-new Swift and Dzire, as well as the Vitara and Ciaz. Suzuki’s highlight in the event is the first public debut of the much-awaited all-new Jimny, which will be available in the market by Q3 of 2019.
Eyeing for a brand new Suzuki vehicle? There are three things you should do: take a look at the available Suzuki promos in AutoDeal, and then request for a free quote or schedule a test drive.
